Ms. Allie
Hi! My name is Ms. Allie. I have been employed at Color Our Rainbow Academy since the summer of 2007. I am currently working with the School Agers. I’ve recently graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor degree in Respiratory Care. I am a big Cleveland sports fan. I also enjoy swimming, dancing, and going to new places.
Ms. Allyson
Hi! My name is Ms. Allyson. I have been employed at Color Our Rainbow Academy since August of 2003. I am currently the Toddler room teacher and work with the School Agers over the summer. I am working towards completion of my Child Development Associate Certificate with a focus on Infant and Toddler development. I enjoy reading and spending time with family, friends, my husband, James, and our dog, Sadie.
Ms. Elsie
Hi! My name is Ms. Elsie. I have been employed by Color Our Rainbow since November of 2005. I currently work in the Infant and Toddler rooms. I am married and have five children of my own, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson! I became interested in child care as I watched my own children grow, develop, and learn. I have worked in the child care field for almost 30 years in several different centers in Lake County. I am certified in both Infants and Toddlers.
Ms. Emma
Hi! My name is Ms. Emma. I have been employed at Color Our Rainbow Academy since May of 2004. I am currently the Curriculum Coordinator and the Assistant Director. I have previously worked in the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten rooms. I graduated from Kent State University in 2005 with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. Aside from working with children, I enjoy reading, shopping, playing outside, and spending time with my husband, Ben, our son, Connor, and our dog, Gloria.
Ms. Jessica
Ms. Julie
Hi! My name is Ms. Julie. I have worked in the Pre-Kindergarten 1 classroom since June of 2004. I hold a B.S. in Special Education from Kent State University. The focus of my curriculum is Kindergarten readiness, especially in the areas of language arts and mathematics. I enjoy working with children on a daily basis, watching them grow and develop confidence as the master new skills. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My outside interests include reading, watching movies, and traveling.
Ms. Karen
Hi! My name is Ms. Karen. I have been the Director at Color Our Rainbow Academy since 2003. I am the mother of two daughters, one son, and one Bassett Hound. I am the grandmother of one amazing grandson. I have been employed in the child care industry since 1983 as a Kindergarten Teacher and Center Director. I earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education from Bowling Green State University. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my family, following the Cleveland Indians, playing with my dog, Gus, and spending time with my grandson, Connor.
Ms. Liz
Hi! My name is Ms. Liz. I am currently one of the Infant room teachers and bus driver. I have always loved being around children, especially babies. I have two children of my own. They are ten and twelve years old. Before coming to Color Our Rainbow, I was an LPN working in a nursing home. I attended Mentor High School and Willoughby Tech.
Ms. Lorie
Hi! My name is Ms. Lorie. I have been employed at Color Our Rainbow Academy since June of 2007. Currently, I work with the Preschool 2 students, and I am the Center Trainer. Working with children is a lot of fun! I graduated from Lake Erie College with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. I live in Painesville with my husband, Scott, and I enjoy making teaching materials, genealogy, walks in the fall, and reality T.V.
Ms. Marge
Hi! My name is Ms. Marge. I have been the cook here at Color Our Rainbow since April of 2006. I have been in food service for about 15 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs, Lenny and Maya.
Ms. Norma
Hi! My name is Ms. Norma. I’m a teacher in the Infant and Toddler rooms. I enjoy working with children. I’m married and have two children of my own. I also have three grandchildren; they keep me very busy! I enjoy walking, especially with my dog, Max.
Ms. Renee
Hi! My name is Ms. Renee. I am currently one of the Preschool 1 teachers. I am a graduate of Lakeland Community College. I have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I attended Mentor High School; I was in the Early Childhood Program, where I worked with young children for my last two years of high school. I live in Mentor with my mom and two cats.
Ms. Wendy
Hi! My name is Ms. Wendy. I was born in Cleveland and raised in Toledo. I have worked in the childcare profession since 1989. I have experience with all age groups. I have taken courses and continuing education classes at Lakeland Community College and the University of Toledo. It’s exciting to watch the development of each individual into the “whole” child. It is rewarding to see the excitement and interest in the children’s faces in their day to day learning.
